The Occupational Safety and Health
The Occupational Safety and Health is one of the subjects allotted to Ministry of Labour & Employment (MoL&E), under the Government of India (GoI), allocation of Business Rules. Industrial Safety & Health Division deals with occupational safety and health issues relating to workers working in Factory, Mine and Docks. Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS), a subordinate office and Directorate General of Factory Advice Services and Labour Institutes (DGFASLI) an attached organization of this Ministry are the organizations providing technical inputs on the matter. The Industrial Safety and Health Division comprises following two sections: -
i) Industrial Safety & Health (ISH) – I
ii) Industrial Safety & Health (ISH) – II
