Scheme for provision of mobile medical units.

One of important activities of the Welfare Funds is to provide medical facilities to the miners/Beedi Workers and their families. Since the residential colonies of miners/Beedi Workers are located at Dispensaries in each residential locality, it becomes necessary to run mobile medical units so as to cater to the needs of the workers and their families at their doorstop. Where miners/Beedi workers are small, and not concentrated at any particular place but are distributed all over the region, the provision of a Mobile Medical Unit is the best method to meet the medical needs of the workers satisfactorily.
