               3.2.2 Job Description of officials working in DGLW:
               Welfare Commissioner (WC): - Regional head / State head of Labour Welfare
               Organization (LWO). Responsible for implementation of labour welfare schemes
               for  beedi/cine/non-coal  mine  workers,  Implementation  of  welfare  measures
               undertaken for un-organized workers in the region / state. Administration of
               hospitals  and  dispensaries  set  up  under  labour  welfare  schemes.  Organising
               medical  camps  and  awareness  camps  for  beedi/cine/non-coal  mine  workers.
               Nominee  of  Central  Govt.  in  BOCW  Welfare  Board,  Organising  camps  for
               registration  under  E-shram,  PMSYM  and  other  welfare  schemes  notified  by
               central govt. time to time. Important schemes being implemented are: Labour
               Welfare Schemes for Beedi/Cine/Non-Coal Mine workers (Health, Education and
               Housing), Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-dhan (PM-SYM), E-Shram, Other
               Central.

               Deputy  Welfare  Commissioner  (DWC):  -  Second  in  command  after  WC  in
               Labour Welfare Organization (LWO). Head of Office for the administration of
               LWO.  Assist  Welfare  Commissioner  in  implementation  of  welfare  schemes.
               Act as CPIO under the RTI Act, 2005, Act as public grievances officer and to
               redress grievances in time bound manner, Assist in functioning of DBT Scheme
               for financial assistance for education to the wards of beedi/cine/non-coal mine
               workers.

               Assistant  Welfare  Commissioner  (AWC):  -  Instrumental  in  administration  of
               LWO  Office,  hospitals  and  dispensaries.  Instrumental  in  implementation  of
               labour welfare schemes, organise medical camps, awareness camps, verification
               of the eligibility of financial assistance for education, verification of the eligibility
               for subsidy under housing scheme,
               Welfare Administrator (WA): - Section in-charge of welfare schemes running under
               LWO. Act as the facilitator for smooth functioning of Welfare Schemes/ Hospital/
               Dispensaries in the field. Also responsible for the information dissemination of
               above welfare schemes, workers counselling and other welfare measures being
               undertaken in the field or cluster of workers.
