The Attached, Subordinate, Statutory/Autonomous Organisations of Ministry of Labour and Employment


               Labour Commissioners(C) & Labour Enforcement Officers(C) in field offices. The
               job description of these posts is as under:

               •     Dy.CLC (C)- Dy.CLC is the Head of the Region and hence all administrative
                     powers and financial powers vest in him.

                     o     monitors the functions of LEOs, ALCs & RLCs.
                     o     assigns the inspection to LEOs and other inspector viz. ALC, RLC
                           etc. if need be.

                     o     Acts as the Conciliation Officer under ID Act, Appellate Authority
                           under Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 & IESO Act.
               •     RLC (C) - Conciliation Officer, Authority under Minimum Wages Act &
                     Payment of Wages Act, Certifying Officer under IESO Act.

                     o     At some stations of independent office, also the Controlling authority
                           under PG Act & ER Act and also the Licencing Officer & Registering
                           Officer.
               •     ALC (C) - Conciliation Officer, Controlling Authority under Payment of
                     Gratuity Act,  1972  and  Equal  Remuneration Act,  Licencing  Officer  and
                     Registering Officer.

               •     LEO –

                     o     Inspection under various labour laws,
                     o     Acts as the conciliation officer at some of the stations.
