II. National Career Service Centres for Differently Abled (NCSC-DAs)
• Deputy/Assistant Director (Employment): Acts as Head of Office. Looks
after administrative, establishment, financial and budget matters. Supervise
evaluation; training and rehabilitation aspects of all PwDs approaching
the Centres. Establish liason with employer/NGO for enhancing the reach
of the centre. Responsible for creating awareness and publicising centre’s
activities.
• Rehabilitation Officer: Responsible for enrolling the PwDs in the centre.
Makes an aassessment of the PwD candidates. Provide vocational
guidance and counselling to PwD trainees. Their role is to coordinate with
the employers’ and institutions for the outreach activities and placement
drives like organising job fairs, camps, exhibitions etc. Supervises the entire
rehabilitation activities and mobilising the CSR support. Making regular
field visit for arranging rehabilitation services. Maintaining the repository
of employers/ NGOs.
• Psychologist: Responsible for making the psychological assessments
of PwD candidates for determining their suitability for specific trade,
rehabilitation, employment and training. Prepares case history of each
PwD candidates. Provide vocational guidance and career counselling
to PwD candidates. Supervises the entire activities of evaluation and
training.
• Vocational Instructor: Make functional evaluation of PwD candidates
for vocational training in specified trade. Provides vocational training
to the PwD candidates on different skills (Trades). Make PwD trainees
employable and assist them in placement.
III. National Career Service Centres for SC/STs (NCSC-SC/STs)
• Sub-Regional Employment Officer: Act as Head of Office. Looks after
administrative, establishment, financial and budget matters. Supervise
technical activities like counselling, Guidance, Pre- Recruitment Training,
Confidence building programme, and training through external agencies
for SC/ST jobseekers. Coordinating with industries/NGOs for creating
opportunities for the SC/ST jobseekers.
• Asst. Employment Officer: Responsible for executing all technical
activities in NCSC-SC/STs. Provide career counselling, vocational guidance
and maintaining the repository of the employers, vacancies and SC/ST
jobseekers for arranging the training and placement activities.
