               3.3.5 eShram
The eShram portal envisages to register all unorganised workers of the country.
As on 12 October 2023, over 29.14 crore unorganised workers have already
                        th
registered on eShram portal. eShram allows registration in various modes
including self-registration through eShram portal & UMANG mobile app as well
as registration through assisted mode with through over 4 lakh Common Service
Centres (CSCs) & State Seva Kendra’s (SSKs).

eShram portal has been integrated with National Career Services (NCS), Pradhan
Mantri – Shram Yogi Maandhan, Skill India Digital etc. Through these integrations,
workers are able to auto register/ search for better job opportunities, enrol for
benefits of pension scheme and enhance their current skillsets. This integration
will empower unorganised workers and lead them towards better livelihood.
To facilitate suo-moto delivery of social security schemes to the unorganised
workers, eShram data was mapped with key databases of other ministries/
departments’ schemes e.g., One Nation One Ration Card, PM-Ujjwala, PMJAY
etc. Based on the activity, status of enrolment of workers under these schemes
is being shared with the States/ UTs to facilitate enrolment of eligible left-out
eShram registrants in the respective schemes. The eShram data is being shared
with all the State/ UTs through Data Sharing Portal (DSP)/API integration.
eShram also has a provision that if user chooses an occupation that is classified
under construction sector, then his/ her data will be shared with their home State
and BOCW board of current State as well. This feature will allow States/ BOCW
boards to approach all such workers so that they may be approached for registration
with State BOCW boards and to provide welfare benefits as per their entitlement.
