3.10.1 Job Description of the officers is given below:
Additional Director: He assists the Director General in his activities and gets the
work done from all departments of the organization. Besides helping the Director
General in taking decisions within framework of the Rules and Regulations of
the Board. He also settles the grievances and court cases in consultation with the
Director General. In the absence of the Director General, the Additional Director
is In-charge of the organization.
Financial Advisor: He heads the Accounting Division of the Board, the main
duties attached to the post includes preparation of the Annual Accounts and
Budget of the Board. He performs the role of internal auditor. He ensures timely
release of funds to various offices and also monitors the expenditure. He assists
the external audit.
Deputy Director (Headquarters): He is overall In-charge of Personnel and
Administration and matters related to General Administration Department, deals
with conducting DPC, DSC, filling up of various posts on Direct Recruitment
Basis, maintenance of office building, rent, infrastructure facilities etc. of all offices
in the country. He is In-charge of Grants-in-aid section, he organizes Governing
Body meeting and deals with Grants-in-aid programme.
Deputy Director (Education): He is In-charge of Education Branch. His job
profile involves evolving of educational policy, strategy, planning, budgeting,
implementation and monitoring of training programmes for organized and
unorganized workers through the country by 6 Zonal Directorates, 50 Regional
Directorates and Indian Institute of Workers Education, Mumbai. He brings out
various publications of the organizations like quarterly magazine, periodicals,
reports, booklets on various topics, poster, charts and other related publication
besides, maintaining a pool of visual aids on various subjects to be used at the
field level training languages policy in the organization by organizing various
training programmes and evaluation of reports.
Deputy Director (Training): He is In-charge of the Indian Institute of Workers
Education, an Apex Training Institute of the Board. He is responsible for overall
planning, co-ordination, execution and monitoring of all the training programmes,
national level training programmes for activities of Central Trade Unions/
Organizations/Federations besides pre-employment training programmes for
Education Officers and Refresher Courses for Regional Directors and Education
Officers.
Training Officer: To conduct National Level Training Programmes for the
workers sponsored from National Level Trade Union Organizations and at times
conducts research and analysis of the training programmes and design suitable
programmes keeping in view the need of the target group.
