driven approach can lead to more effective policies and services. For example,

comprehensive real-time data analytics cutting across organisations will boost
development of better policies and services. This will ensure that the policies are
responsive to the current needs of the workforce and employers.
The need for convergence can also be argued from the existing policymaking,
Convergence in information sharing with employers and workers will also lead to
implementation and monitoring set up of the Ministry. The Ministry with its diverse
functional areas including policy development, service delivery, regulatory
higher awareness amongst them regarding their rights, duties and procedures for
claiming relief. This would enable them to approach the appropriate organisation

for the specific relief or work in a timely manner. This would result in preventing
wastage of time, money and other resources.
The Ministry and its organisations now have the requisite technology and
resources which may be employed for greater coordination in several functions/
services for creating synergies. This synergistic collaboration will result in greater
policy and action coherence. This will lead to achievement of the shared twin
goals of labour welfare and facilitation of employers.
There are several benefits of convergence that all stakeholders (including field
offices) can reap. It can eliminate redundancies, duplicities in efforts and streamline
