Legislative Reforms

• Amendment in the Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment & Conditions of Service) Act, 1979:
   
  
  • The provision of deemed registration

1. The provision of deemed license
2. The provision of deemed renewal of license
3. The Government may, by order, make provision for alternate mechanism of payment

• Amendment in the Telangana Shops & Establishments Act, 1988 

1. The permission to all Shops & Establishments to keep open on all the days of the year for a further period of three (3) years.
2. Working hours of the shop shall be between 9.00 A.M. to 11.00 P.M.

• Amendment in the Motor Transport Workers Act, 1961:

1. The provision of deemed registration.
2. The provision of deemed renewal of registration.

Governance Reforms                       

• The Government has introduced “Online Inspection System” under various Labour Laws (14 Acts), vide Circular Memo.No.H/7770/2013. Dated: 17/12/2015, with the objective is to bring more transparency in the inspection procedures. 

• The Government has introduced “Self Certification Scheme” under various Labour Laws (10 Acts), vide Circular Memo.No.H/7770/2013. Dated: 17/12/2015, with the objective that the Employer / Establishment who are committed to comply with various laws voluntarily will be free from fear of inspection and penal action for five years. 

• The Government has prescribed “Inspection Procedures”under various Labour Laws. 

• The Government has prescribed the timelines to be followed while dealing with Registrations / Renewals under different Labour Acts, vide CIRCULAR MEMO No.H2/7770/2015 Dt. 09.06.2016.

• The Government has prescribed the timelines to be followed while dealing with scrutinizing the Returnsunder different Labour Acts, vide No.H2/7770/2013. Dated:25/10/2016. 

• The Government has introduced “Joint Inspection System with Factories Department” under various Labour Laws (14 Acts), videCIRCULAR MEMO NO. H/7770/2013. Dated: 22.03.2016. 

• The Government has introduced “Thirty Party Audit Scheme” under All Labour Laws, vide Order No-G.O.MS.No. 47 Dated: 10/06/2016.
